Pro-E has attempted to mask their never-ending menus with a pretty face lift this go 'round. This makes it hard for old users to adjust, but let's new users jump right in... at least at first. After awhile you'll realize how hard it is to memorize all of Pro-E's menu abbreviations! A textbook is a must, and this one does a decent job.
This book leads you through both 3D part creation and machinist' drawings. It also teaches the user some of the in-depth features of Pro-E in regards to storing drawing configurations and etc. Book also covers motion/kinematic analysis.
Book actually has a few errors on the spur & helical gear walk-thrus. If you look for them and think it through you can figure it out - or just ask your professor what the correct numbers are.

This book synergistically integrates the design process with the specific commands and procedures of Pro|ENGINEER through a unique presentation scheme. Users are first provided with the design information about the part or assembly and its design intent. Then, they see the sequence of steps involved in modeling the part/assembly. Detailed instructions are provided in a four-column presentation showing goals, steps and commands. The consistent approach is supplemented by many illustrations on each page. Each chapter adds new information while reinforcing key concepts.Table of Contents1. Introduction2. Bearings3. Bearings4. Bushing5. Retaining Ring6. Shaft7. Nuts and Bolts8. Bolt Heads9.
