I really like this new book with its blend of personal history, comments on the US educational system, significant findings on climate change, and suggestions for change. The material on the National Science Board and interactions with national figures give excellent insights into the way our nation deals with science. This book should be an inspiration to a lot of people, including youth who might be or should be considering their educational goals, including possibly scientific ones. Dr. Washington has had quite a life and career, and it makes for good reading.
